Every year we get the same call in mid-December: "Can you pour before the family arrives?" By then it's usually too late. Here's how the holiday season works for concreting on the South Coast, and when to book.
The holiday shutdown
Most local concrete suppliers close or run reduced hours over Christmas and New Year. In 2026 our last pour date is 5 December, and we're back on 7 January 2027.
Work backwards from your deadline
Quote: allow about a week to get a site visit and written quote.
Booking: we usually book about 4 weeks ahead, depending on workload.
Prep and pour: most driveways take roughly 3 days, depending on the size of the job.
Curing: allow at least 7 days before driving on a new driveway.
That means to get in before our 5 December cut-off, aim to book by 7 November.
Holiday home owners
If you own a holiday home in Mollymook, Narrawallee or Lake Tabourie, now is the time. We can work while you're away, so it's finished before you arrive for summer.
Missed the cut-off?
Get your quote in anyway. January and February book out with jobs from people who missed December, so a quote now secures an early-new-year spot.
